De-husking with traditional hand tools like machete or a spike depends on the skill of worker and involves training. Nowadays there is shortage such skilled Workers. These affect production rate de-husking coconut also more hazardous harmful to user. To overcome limitations problems in present methods, manual automated machine should be designed fabricated. This research design fabricate low-cost husk removing machine. The main purpose this eliminate involved process promote some small-scale industries self-employment, especially for women. loading unloading coconuts will yield productivity higher than existing less manpower. Also, can accommodate different sizes that are cultivated anywhere Sri Lanka. various experiments have been conducted both dry mature order determine force required de-husk coconut. Test result assessment laboratory field conditions reported. Safety aspects incorporated. unit about 70 per hour compared 40 nuts from using method. Cost benefit analysis indicates it commercially viable.
